Our on-going support for Temple Street Children’s Hospital
In 2006 Sherry FitzGerald embarked on a project for Temple Street in recognition of the need for family accommodation in Dublin for those families from all over Ireland who at some point have a child in Temple Street Hospital. Sherry FitzGerald successfully purchased and oversaw the refurbishment of a wonderful home just moments away from the hospital.
For a number of years Sherry FitzGerald fundraised for Temple Street with specific attention on this project to pay for the house and refurbishment. The project has been a huge success and since 2006 has housed many families all over Ireland during times that their children were being cared for in Temple Street. It has meant families can be close to their child when in hospital all the time without the worry of high accommodation costs and sometimes for many outside Dublin, long distant commutes every day.
Sherry FitzGerald as a national company in Ireland is proud to be associated with Temple Street and admires the tireless work its doctors, nurses and all its staff do for our children.
Other initiatives Sherry FitzGerald are involved in with Temple Street is our annual Christmas Toy Appeal. For the past 13 years hundreds of toys have been donated and gathered by Sherry FitzGerald at Christmas from our staff, family members and friends. These toys mean so much to the many children of Dublin's inner city at a time when gifts are taken for granted.
Another very enjoyable event is the annual 'Bake Off for Temple Street' within the company. This is also a huge success and over the years the boys in Sherry FitzGerald have been making their mark on the winners podium!
Temple Street Children’s Hospital is a national treasure because it looks after the most important treasures in all our lives - our children. Sherry FitzGerald will continue in our support and we welcome your thoughts on any new initiatives we can be part of to support this superb hospital and all its staff.
