Regional Marketing Executive

Sherry Fitzgerald’s Marketing department is looking to recruit a Regional Marketing Executive. This newly created role will be part-time and report directly to the Group Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with the Heads of the Regions, the Marketing Manager and Regional Directors with their time per week occasionally split amongst the various offices in; Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick depending on business needs.


Key responsibilities

This role will be the main point of contact for all three Regional Sherry FitzGerald offices – Cork, Galway and Limerick and lead business planning. The role will require some travel throughout these regions however the post holder may base themselves in any one of these locations or Dublin. This is the ideal role for someone seeking a role which offers a lot of flexibility.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Weekly visits to offices, planning, and developing & executing yearly marketing plan in full
  • Reporting and monitoring success of marketing activities per region
  • Presentations to regional offices and head office as required
  • Working with Marketing Manager and team on the overall marketing plan and how to incorporate Regional offices
  • Advertising coordination & management
  • Working on local and targeted events, e.g. social media activities
  • Compiling a quarterly business report for SMT
  • Monitor report and communicate actions required to the Franchise business as required 
  • Maintain and track budgets vs. actual spend with measurable actions and recommendations
  • Maintain and track advertising and editorial market share for the Regions


Qualifications & experience:

  • Two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Hold a full clean drivers licence and use of own car
  • Ideally have a background in or experience in advertising agencies, media or professional services
  • Ideally hold a relevant third level qualification
  • Good local marketing knowledge and strong local media relationships will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at networking, e.g. relationships with localised press & radio
  • Reliable, trustworthy & confident
