Something Different

Salcombe, Holmpatrick, Skerries, Co. Dublin

€925,000 - Asking Price|5 Bedrooms, 215 sqm approx

Dating back to circa 1896 Salcombe is a truly magnificent and most elegant red brick semi-detached family residence of immense style and character, situated in a picturesque seafront location on lower South Strand just a stroll from the centre of Skerries with schools, churches and every conceivable amenity including Skerries harbour and some of North Dublin's finest and most famous restauraunts.

The attraction of the waterfront location with its beach activities and outstanding coastal views particularly of Shenick Island, Church Island and Rockabill has remained a key feature of the lifestyle enjoyed by all who have had the pleasure of living there over the years.

Salcombe has been substantially upgraded and extended at both ground and first floor levels by its current vendors who have taken great care to ensure that many of its original Victorian features and embellishments remain intact such as fireplaces, high ceilings and covings and of course the wonderful sash windows (upgraded). No expense has been spared in creating a unique residence and the addition of a stunning open plan kitchen/dining room to the rear adds greatly to create a homely atmosphere by its present vendors. A glass wall provides natural light where one can admire the cobblelock courtyard and stone facings. Features include a bespoke Tierney kitchen with granite work surfaces and quality appliances. A fine utility room was also constructed with downstairs w/c and large boiler room/work store. The entire extended area benefits from underfloor heating.
