Christmas is in full swing here in Ballina and there are lots of activities to do and see right through the festive period. These are just a sample of some of the events that are taking place so why not plan a trip to Ballina, avail of free afternoon parking and support local businesses. Nollaig Shona Daoibh!
Sunday 24th November – Sunday 22nd December
Join Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and their little helpers at Santas Grotto from Sunday 24th November right through December at Ballina’s Military Barracks, in the heart of Ballina town.
Enjoy a Meet and Greet with Santa, Mrs Claus and their elves, receive a gift and take family pictures in Santas sleigh which is parked up in Ballina until Santa leaves to deliver the pressies on Christmas Eve.
Santas Grotto Dates include:
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December 3pm – 5pm (In conjunction with Mistletoe Market)
Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th December 3pm – 6pm
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd December 3pm-6pm
And then off Santa goes to prepare for the delivery of presents to all the good Boys and Girls of the town.

Tickets for this years Polar Express goes on sale this Saturday 23rd in Ballina Train Station at 1.30pm only, €12.50 pp (under 1’s Free)
Card facilities are not available at the train station.

North Mayo Heritage Centre
Christmas market and Santa’s Grotto 14th & 15th December
The North Mayo Heritage Centre are now taking bookings to see Santa at the Crossmolina Christmas Market on the 14th & 15th December. Time slots are available on each day to reduce queueing time so that you can enjoy the festive fun of the weekend.
Tickets cost €12 per child and include a quaility wrapped gift (suitable to their age and gender), a certificate from Santa and some food for Rudolph.
