For many buyers Christmas is an important marker in the year. They’ll want to be settled in their new home for Christmas, or to make a new start early in the New Year so September and October are ideal for focusing on finding the perfect property to invest in.
What can you do to attract buyers?
Get good quality photographs. Autumn colours create a beautiful backdrop to pictures of your home. The outside of your property is the first thing that visitors will see so have your gutters cleaned and ensure there are no leaks or drips that will be noticed on a rainy autumn day. Get the heating system serviced and chimney cleaned. Buyers will want a warm home coming into the winter and will often enquire about the boiler. These little things could make or break the deal.
For viewings, light the fire and keep all of the lights on to give your property a cosy look and feel. Little touches such as reed diffusers with autumn scents like cinnamon and spice can add to that first impression and make your property the one buyers are keen to see.
