The front door leads to a tiled hallway with the extended sitting room to the right and the kitchen / dining room to the left.
The sitting room is a large bright room with an attractive insert stove and double doors lead to the family room and space where the impeccable taste of the current owners has found expression. This is a delightful room with two Velux windows and large sliding doors to the rear patio. This extension of the original house also includes a downstairs WC.
The kitchen boasts a large complement of units and includes an integrated eye level oven, hob unit and dishwasher. Light streams into this room from the front and back and creates a space that is both relaxing and uplifting. A well fitted utility houses the washing machine, dryer and storage units. The present owners also converted the original WC situated close to the front entrance to a convenient cloakroom.
The stairs is carpeted and leads to four bedrooms. The master bedroom is carpeted and has an ensuite bathroom. There are two other large bedrooms. About the Area
Tuam (pop. 8,242) is a town in County Galway, situated west of the midlands of Ireland, and north of Galway city. Tuam is best known as a centre of church affairs, ancient and modern and has two cathedrals. The town owes its foundation to a monastery established here in the 6th century by St. Jarlath. The ruins of Temple Jarlath, in the centre of the city, date from around 1360. The 14' 12 century High Cross of Tuam, a decorated sandstone piece, was once broken in three, with each piece in different ownership. It is now situated in the rebuilt (1878) Church of Ireland cathedral, which has a magnificent red sandstone chancel arch in laboured Romanesque, erected certainly between 1128 and 1152.
