Description
A MOST TRANQUIL LOCATION.
A rare opportunity to buy by private treaty an impressive cluster of four beautifully refurbished and renovated country cottages around a central courtyard developed as a cosy country house and residential therapy / meditation centre in a quiet tranquil country setting.
Set on a quiet country road on a site measuring approx. 0.6 acres this extensive cluster of cottages is surrounded by gardens, ample car parking and a central courtyard.
The four cottages which measure in total 4,210 sq. ft. have the following accommodation and are in move in condition:
MAIN RESIDENCE which was tastefully and sympathetically extended to give a large three bedroom home with three reception rooms, kitchen/diner, office & two bathrooms.
MAIN GUEST HOUSE which was developed from out offices into a large two storey guest house and therapy centre and can be used for a myriad of uses including lectures, training, meetings, social events etc.
It contains five double/twin bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large sittingroom also suitable for a meeting room, fully fitted kitchen and also has a therapy room/office and wetroom & is fully wheelchair accessible.
APARTMENT. A small cosy self-contained one bedroom two storey apartment adjoining the main house suitable as accommodation for two or three people. It contains one bedroom, one bathroom, livingroom & kitchen.
LIBRARY/MEDITATION CENTRE. Across the courtyard is a quaint two roomed building serving as a library /office and a large tranquillity room suitable for meditation & reflection.
The current owners having taken the property from country cottage to this fine home and business which they successfully ran for 16 years are now seeking to downsize and are looking for new owners who will delight in this fine hospitality opportunity in this lovely part of the midlands.
This is the part of Ireland where Michael Jackson(Jacko) sought and found peace and tranquillity during his six month sojourn in Ireland.
It is centrally located being 12 mins from Moate & M6, 20 mins to Athlone , Mullingar & Tullamore and a few mins from Irelands longest cycling greenway from Dublin to the Shannon.
Caraiosa is an ideal purchase for a discerning purchaser who wishes to live in a lovely home and idyllic location and run a hospitality business from the same premises.

About the Area
Moate (Irish: An Móta) is a town in County Westmeath. There are several extant examples of Quaker houses on the main street, which itself is typical of an Irish marketplace. Moate is on the Cloghatanny River, also known as the Moate Stream, which is a tributary of the River Brosna. The confluence between the Cloghatanny and Brosna is 7.5 kilometres to the southeast of Moate, or 3 km west of Clara. The town is on the R446 road between Kinnegad and Athlone. The new M6 motorway bypasses the town.
Moate is a growing town with many new businesses including a supermarket, hardware store, an internet café-computer shop, pizzeria, petrol station, post office, gift shop, credit union, library, hair dresser, bank, sport shop, hotel and over twelve public houses. Many new building ventures have taken place in recent years including a complex of apartments and shops at the site of the old Convent of Mercy on Station Road. Bus Éireann and Irish Citylink operate Dublin–Galway bus routes that service Moate
