Sherry FitzGerald hosted a hybrid annual conference in Killashee House Hotel on Friday 28th January with an attendance of over 500 professionals from across the company’s network of owned and franchised offices joining virtually and in-person.
The theme of this year’s event, which was in association with myHome.ie was “Horizon 2022”.
Guest speakers on the day included, Clare Kavanagh, board director, Behaviour and Attitudes and international speaker, author, strategist Ken Hughes.
Steven McKenna, CEO, Sherry FitzGerald Group opened the conference by celebrating 40 years in business while looking to the future and the next phase of growth.
Reflecting on the past he said “Right from the very beginning the vision set out by Mark FitzGerald and Philip Sherry was that the only way to build a business was to ensure that we built a reputation around high standards and quality of service. We are ‘the agent you’d recommend to a friend’ and over the past 40 years we have continued to build on this reputation.” Mr. McKenna welcomed colleagues from over 100 offices joining from across the Countrywide network, Residential, Commercial, New Homes, Lettings, Financial Services, and Shared Services. “Whatever part of the country you’re in, whatever business you work in, whatever your role, every single person tuning in today contributes to the strength of Sherry FitzGerald”
The day culminated in an award ceremony which was designed to recognise the highest standards of professionalism and excellence across the network. Des O’Malley, head of Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide said “The targets are high, and while there is only one winner announced annually, the overall standard of excellence across the network was yet again of an exceptionally high standard”
Sherry FitzGerald Lettings (Sheehy) was presented with the Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide Member of the Year Award 2022. Des O’Malley paid tribute to the winners.; “Sherry FitzGerald Lettings is this year’s winner because of the exceptional feedback expressed by our client base and the firms attention to detail in the area of technology, promotion of the standards within the brand, and most especially people. Pappy and Eileen have been part of the Sherry Fitz team for time immemorial and always supportive of their colleagues in the wider group. They will be popular winners of the award”.
Eileen Sheehy accepted the award while paying tribute to their team saying “we are truly honoured as it recognises our customer centric approach which is always at the heart of everything we do. There have been many challenges over the past number of years trading in a market that has faced a severe rental crisis but we hope that the year ahead will see some of the housing shortages addressed.”
