Description
Sherry FitzGerald Todd are delighted to present No. 158 Palace Fields to the market. Palace Fields is a highly regarded residential development that requires little introduction to prospective purchasers. Renowned for its quality homes, convenient location and strong sense of community, it has long been recognised as one of Tuam’s most desirable family estates. No. 158 is a superbly designed three-bedroom home that maximises both space and natural light throughout. The welcoming front entrance opens into a spacious tiled hallway complete with guest WC. Off the hallway, the bright kitchen/dining area features quality shaker-style fitted units and a large picture window overlooking an attractive green area with mature trees to the front of the property. A second door from the hallway leads into a generous living room, enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the open green space to the rear. This inviting room features wide plank wooden flooring, an attractive fireplace and double glass doors opening onto the rear garden, patio area and garden shed. Upstairs, a carpeted staircase leads to three well-proportioned bedrooms. The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite bathroom, large windows, tasteful décor and built-in wardrobes. All bedrooms feature wooden flooring and fitted wardrobes. A beautifully tiled family bathroom, finished floor to ceiling, completes the first-floor accommodation. Externally, the property offers off-street parking for two cars to the front, while the rear garden provides an excellent private outdoor space ideal for family living and entertaining. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a quality family home in one of Tuam’s most sought-after residential locations. About the Area
Tuam (pop. 8,242) is a town in County Galway, situated west of the midlands of Ireland, and north of Galway city. Tuam is best known as a centre of church affairs, ancient and modern and has two cathedrals. The town owes its foundation to a monastery established here in the 6th century by St. Jarlath. The ruins of Temple Jarlath, in the centre of the city, date from around 1360. The 14' 12 century High Cross of Tuam, a decorated sandstone piece, was once broken in three, with each piece in different ownership. It is now situated in the rebuilt (1878) Church of Ireland cathedral, which has a magnificent red sandstone chancel arch in laboured Romanesque, erected certainly between 1128 and 1152.
