Louth County Council are delighted to announce the upcoming release of 10 newly built, A-rated homes at Ushers Mill, Drogheda, County Louth. They are all 3-bedrooms homes which are available for affordable purchase for those who meet the relevant eligibility requirements under the ‘Local Authority Affordable Purchaser Scheme’. The house types in this release are a mix of Newgrange and Laurence house styles and plans are available to view on the Ushers Mill website www.ushersmill.ie

It should be noted that the 'minimum sale price' is advertised above and is a reduction from the open market value of the home.

Those who seek to purchase under the scheme and meet the necessary criteria will have the opportunity to purchase a home at a reduced rate. Louth County Council will bridge the gap between the open market value of the home and the purchasers combined maximum mortgage and deposit, in return the council will take a partial equity share in the house. Under the scheme qualifying purchasers can still use the Help to Buy Scheme.

This portal will only open for online applications at 10am on Monday 9th February 2026 and will close at 5pm on Monday 2nd March 2026.
