This traditional cottage is located in a very rural area making it the ideal setting for those looking for a tranquil retreat, twenty five minutes’ drive from Westport town.

The cottage needs extensive refurbishment including providing a bathroom and kitchen, making a water connection (available directly in front of the property) and installing a septic tank (subject to planning permission. The property is wired (but requires reconnection the electricity service) and double glazed windows have been installed.

The floor area measures approximately 55.8 sq m. Accommodation comprises of living room, two bedrooms and a small back room.

The attractive woodland site measures approximately half an acre with the ruins of three stone buildings to the rear.

Shraheens is 8.5 km from Aughagower, an attractive small village whose facilities include shop, pre-school/after-school, playground, post office, church and pub.

From Aughagower take the Tourmakeady Road (to the left of grotto) for approximately 5.6km and turn right (signposted Shraheen), continue for approximately 3.1 km and turn right, property is on the left (next door to Eircode F28 CF57)

Westport is a town in County Mayo, situated at the south-east corner of Clew Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a popular tourist destination, and scores highly for Quality of Life.
