Simply oozing potential, this quaint detached cottage is tucked away on a quiet laneway, within easy reach of Tintern Abbey, while the coast is just a short drive away. Lovingly held over the years, the property now presents an excellent opportunity for a new owner to restore and reimagine it to their own taste. It will appeal to those seeking a project in a truly special setting. Set on approximately 0.47 acres, the grounds offer plenty of space and flexibility, with two outbuildings suitable for a variety of uses. The site also previously accommodated a small orchard, adding to its charm and future potential. While the house requires complete renovation, it benefits from existing oil-fired central heating, a private water supply, and septic tank. Having been vacant for over 10 years, the property qualifies for the Vacant Property Grant, subject to the relevant approvals. The accommodation comprises an entrance porch, living room, kitchen, and bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two compact rooms (previously used as bedrooms) along with a bathroom. The location is a real highlight—peaceful and private, yet within close proximity to the many attractions and natural beauty of the South East coast. A wonderful opportunity for those looking to create a home in a unique and sought-after setting. Early viewing is recommended.

About the Area
Fethard-on-Sea was originally called Fethard but the name was changed following drownings at sea when a lifeboat capsized in 1914 on a service mission to the schooner Mexico, off the Keeragh Islands. Nine of the lifeboat crew were drowned and five survived. There was an outpouring of sympathy for the village and money came in from around the world, however, a lot of it ended up in Fethard, County Tipperary, so the name of the Fethard in Wexford was changed to distinguish it.
It lies on the R734 road on the eastern side of the Hook peninsula, between Waterford Harbour and Bannow Bay. One would be hard pressed not to be enchanted by the charm of the seaside village, and obviously there are an array of facilities and activities for locals and visitors. Two Bus Éireann routes serve Fethard-on-Sea; route 370 provides a commuter service to Waterford via New Ross.
