The first 9 months of 2023 saw continued growth in the Irish agricultural land market. According to the Sherry FitzGerald Agricultural Land Barometer, values increased by 8.7%.
Following an impressive year for the market in 2022, growth was sustained in the 9 months to September 2023, with values nationally increasing by €940 per acre over that period. As such, the weighted average price of farmland in Ireland, excluding Dublin, was approximately €11,785 per acre at the end of Q3 2023.
